International activities of the Alzheimer Society of Finland

Alzheimer's Disease International

Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI) is the umbrella organisation of Alzheimer associations around the world. We aim to help establish and strengthen Alzheimer associations throughout the world, and to raise global awareness about Alzheimer's disease and all other causes of dementia.

World Alzheimer's Day activities

Every year on 21 September Alzheimer associations across the globe unite to recognise World Alzheimer's Day in many ways. September is also World Alzheimer’s Month. Alzheimer's Disease International publishes the World Alzheimer Report every year.

The Alzheimer Society of Finland has traditionally celebrated Memory Week (week 38 or 39).

Alzheimer Europe

Alzheimer Europe (AE) is a non-profit organisation which aims to improve the care and treatment of Alzheimer patients through intensified collaboration between its member associations. In the longer term, AE is striving to become the coordination and information centre for all organisations working in this specific field, such as day care centres, sitting services, training centres for professionals and related organisations.
