The Alzheimer Society of Finland

There are over 200,000 people with dementia in Finland, and approximately
14,500 new cases are diagnosed every year. Finland ranks amongst the most rapidly aging populations in the world, and the number of cases is expected to triple by 2050.

We work nationwide to achieve the following goals:
•    Improve the quality of life of people with dementia and their caregivers
•    Promote the legal, financial and social rights of people with dementia
•    Develop the support system of people with dementia and their caregivers
•    Educate health care professionals
•    Raise awareness and dispel stigma
•    Influence the political decision-making process
•    Promote brain health

The society is a member organisation of the Alzheimer's Disease International and Alzheimer Europe.
